DIY: Love Notes Holiday Advent Calendar

When advent calendars are too expensive and not that cute, you go with a DIY one! Inspired by the talented creators at The Merry Thought, I loved their advent calendars and decided to combine the two - this one and this one. All credit goes to these brilliant creatives!

Materials:

• String
• Test tubes ($7 on Amazon)
• Greenery
• Paper
• Sharpie

Instructions:

1. Tie string on both ends of the greenery, giving enough room to hang it. 
2. Sharpie the numbers 1-24 on each of the test tubes.
3. Cut your paper into strips. Write on each strip, then roll it around the end of a string. Tie the string into a bow to secure the rolled strip.
4. Place the rolled paper strip with the string into the test tube. Cap the test tube with the string hanging out, then hang it on the greenery branch.
5. Repeat 24 times! My husband and I switched off, so he wrote the even numbers and I wrote the odd numbers for extra adorables.
