These two met on a study abroad trip to India, where they discovered a shared passion for social change as they taught migrant workers English. Their adventures took them to Thailand and Vietnam, and then long distance for a few years. Through their many travels, redwoods became a special place for them, particularly the different ways that trees represented aspects of their relationship. With a proposal at Muir Woods complete with a redwood engagement ring, they knew that there wasn’t a more perfect place to say their vows then under the giant redwoods. Bringing together two families and two cultures, it was a wedding weekend of joy and celebration, from friends remixing songs - from Hamilton to childhood favorites - to Daniel’s sister tearing up as she toasted to his new bride, who taught her the meaning of sisterhood. “I can’t remember a time when she/he wasn’t a part of our family,” was something said over and over again. What a way to start their lives as husband + wife. Congratulations A + D!!
