Nestled in the small town of Pacific Grove is Asilomar Conference Grounds and Asilomar State Beach, two of the best hidden gems of the Monterey Bay and Central Coast. While most people may know the white sands of Carmel Beach, the playful otters of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, or the rugged coastline of Big Sur, Asilomar holds its own with its rich history and beautiful architecture. Spend enough time with locals and you'll find that its the spot to watch the sunset. Besides its rocky beach, the nearby conference grounds serves as a community gathering place, with live music nights, fire pits, and pool tables. The buildings were designed by Julia Morgan, who is best known for her work at Hearst Castle. So if you're looking for an all-in-one wedding venue that has beach and coastal views, lodging, and historical architecture, this is the place for you!

Wedding Packages

Asilomar Conference Grounds offers wedding packages for both large and small weddings, with a maximum of 120 guests for ceremony and reception spaces. In-house catering is provided by a local chef. If you're looking for a place for your guests to stay, there are 313 guest rooms on the property, all of which are walking distance to the beach. Just note that these guest rooms are maintained in its historical style, so if your guests prefer a more modern stay, they may want to look elsewhere! For more information, check out their website.

Outdoor Spaces

Of all the wedding venues in the Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur area, Asilomar Conference Grounds holds the most oceanfront land at 107 acres, making it a perfect destination wedding venue or a getaway for California locals. For outdoor ceremonies up to 120 guests, you have the options of Asilomar Beach, a rocky beach with coastline for miles, or the Grand Cypress Meadow, a lawn framed by Monterey cypress trees and the horizon of the ocean behind you. Within walking distance of the property are winding boardwalks leading to rolling sand dunes. And of course, if it happens to be a sunny day, you can't miss the sunset at Asilomar Beach for your couple portraits!
