What an incredibly special day for these two, who got married at Big Sur River Inn! This place had always been a special place for them - he had grown up in Carmel, and Big Sur was one of the first places they visited together. When they got engaged, they knew they had to get married here. But besides this coastal getaway, there was another place that meant so much to them - Japan. (In fact, it was these two’s recommendations to made us extend our own Japan trip!) A place where they fell in love, got engaged, and shared so many memories. So as an homage, they created a conbini snack bar with all the classics - Pocari sweat, milk tea, and melon pan just to name a few, and complete with a gachapon machine that dispensed custom artwork of them. They walked down the aisle to the soundtrack of Studio Ghibli, and her outfit was absolute perfection with a bow in her hair reminiscent of Kiki. All these touches made their day feel so personal - it couldn’t have been a more authentic reflection of their love story. Check out the rest of their Big Sur River Inn wedding below!
