behind the lens
I’m an introvert. Yep - that means you’ll find me alone in a crowded room. Well, actually you’ll never find me alone in a crowded room (isn’t that every introvert’s greatest fear), but instead running around with my very extroverted husband, whose endless wit and easy-going conversation will inevitably draw you in. Before long, we’ll be talking about why stalking is not the way to meet a girl (and how your how-you-met story is probably far less creepy), why you need to get a(nother) dog as you watch videos of our corgi shiba inu splooting like a loaf (if you don’t know what that is, Google it and thank me later), and why we didn’t meet earlier because face it, you two make us way cooler.

You might be wondering, why on earth would she start off by introducing herself as an introvert? Because at the heart of what I do, I’m the type of girl who may not be the loud voice in the room, but I’ll make sure your voice is heard. I’m the one who will get to know your story, who will notice the little quirks, who will let you know it’s ok to have a moment of silence to just take it all in, to think about how amazing it is that out of the 7 billion people in this world, you picked each other. That’s what I’m all about. P.S. JK Rowling is an introvert. Or, if you didn’t get your letter to Hogwarts, so is Bill Gates.
these are incredible. i
cannot thank you enough.
you are so incredibly talented.
the wedding experience
I’m not here just to take photos and leave. I’m not just your wedding photographer - I utilize my experience in event planning, my skills in organization and scheduling, my network of vendors to create a whole experience that allows you to feel confident in the photographer that you have put your trust in. From the moment you send an inquiry, I respond within 72 hours because I know how valuable your time is. As you’re planning, I discuss with you what you want your day to be about. A month before the wedding, I send a questionnaire because I want to make sure I know exactly what your day will look like so I can capture each and every precious moment. When a vendor falls through, I’m here to reach out to my network of 70,000+ professional vendors across the world. A week before the wedding, I confirm the wedding schedule with you so that we make sure to allot enough time for the photos that you care about. As you take in your big day, I blend in with your guests, capturing those candid moments that you might forget about in the blur of the wedding. As golden hour approaches, I sneak you out for sunset portraits, for a few moments just to celebrate, to appreciate, and to take in what this day has meant to you. And after it is all over and everyone has gone to bed, I rush home to edit your photos, delivering a full gallery with all those moments, big and small, preserved for you to look back on in years to come.

Lynn is a great photographer. I am really thankful that I picked her as my wedding photographer! First off her work is amazing - she is amazing with color, lighting and positions and has a really good eye for beautiful, wonderful shots! She gives you your space during the ceremony, yet still gets amazing shots!  She is great at getting back to you. I got my wedding photos three days after my wedding - holy cow! So you want someone you can really feel comfortable with, Lynn is definitely one of those people!

i just got through the photos and i'm bawling my eyes out
...but I don't know how many hours I need
I get it - you've only just started the wedding planning process and aren't sure what the day is going to look like. Use this sample 8 hour timeline as a guideline.

You might need more hours if you have:
  • Separate getting ready/ceremony/reception locations
  • Bride solo portraits before the first look
  • Large family/friend group photos
  • First dance/toasts/etc. after dinner
  • Grand exit after reception

Don't want to be locked down? Don't worry, you can upgrade your collection anytime. The only caveat is that your upgrade is subject to current pricing on that date.

frequently asked questions
My friend/cousin does photography. Do I need to get my engagement photos done by you?
Doing an engagement session together is the best thing you can do to make the most of your wedding photography! It's a way for us to see how we interact, what you like, what you don't like, and just get comfortable with each other so that we have an awesome rapport on the big day. That's why I love to get to know the little things that make your love story unique before I photograph one of the most important days of your lives!
I've heard that it's best to have two photographers. What's your take on it?
Having two photographers on the day of definitely helps to make the day go smoother - that means you can have bride and groom getting ready photos at the same time, you can have ceremony photos from multiple angles, you can have someone taking family formals while another photographer catches the reception details before the guests swarm. Of course you will also receive more photos, which means you'll have more to remember the day by. But the choice is up to you! I would recommend adding on a second shooter for weddings of 150+ guests.
What are bridals? or the post wedding session?
Bridals are a pre-wedding session that can either be 1) you and your partner get all dressed up and go on an epic adventure for sunset bride and groom portraits or 2) you get all dressed up and have beautiful solo portraits. This is a wonderful way to have portraits done at an ideal location without the rush of the wedding day.

The post wedding (also sometimes called trash-the-dress) session is a session where you and your partner also get all dressed up and go on an epic adventure, but oftentimes the feeling is completely different because you just got married! So you get to celebrate being newlyweds without a care in the world that your dress is dirty as the tides come in or dirt clings onto your train.

Why do either? Having the flexibility to pick a location and time makes for awesome bride and groom portraits, the ones that you'll probably frame and put as your Facebook profile picture. Plus, you'll be so much more relaxed and have way more fun because you won't have to worry about your hair stylist running late, or your aunt getting lost driving to the venue, or your centerpieces not being arranged correctly. So imagine just the two of you - hiking up a mountaintop overlooking the view, or running barefoot into the ocean...now that's what I call epic!
I HEARD THAT SHUTTER CLICK. HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?
I'm a storyteller - so I care about the chapter that seems a bit out of place but really gives a lot of background for the character and the details that give life to the world you're stepping into. But I also am the editor, which means catching the spelling errors and trimming the chapter that doesn't make sense so that when you read the story, you don't fixate on the first chapter which didn't peak your interest and put down the book to gather dust, but instead you are fully engaged and completely satisfied in the investment you made in the characters. That is why I typically deliver 40+ photos for an engagement/bridals/day-after session and 400+ photos for a full day wedding.
I love your editing! But can I also get the raw/unedited photos?
Suppose you saw someone go to a restaurant and ask the chef for the raw ingredients used to make a dish - you probably would be genuinely surprised to see such an interaction. All jokes aside, while I understand wanting to see the unedited photos (I had the same thought before I became a professional photographer!), I'm here to provide you a professional service and only want to deliver the best, finished photos to you as my client.
I LOVE YOUR EDITING! BUT CAN I GET The photos brighter/more saturated/etc.?
I get it - mom wants a photo that more natural because she's looking at her own wedding photos and wondering why they look so different. However, I do want to emphasize that as your photographer, the style that I edit in is very much in line with the style that I photograph in. And that style is what you're hiring a professional photographer for - not just to take photos, but also to deliver a high quality gallery that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. So if you're all about those bright, pastel tones, then I'm not the one for you. But for minor changes like brightening up a few photos that you want to print, just let me know and I'm happy to do that for you.
I SAW YOUR DIY FLOATING GLASS PHOTO COLLAGE TUTORIAL. AM I ALLOWED TO FREELY PRINT AND SHARE MY PHOTOS?
Absolutely! You are welcome to print your photos however you wish. If you need suggestions on where to get them printed, I'm happy to share them with you. For all you on social media out there, please do share your photos! I just ask that you add a link or tag to my website, Instagram, or Facebook.
YEA, I KNOW I COULD GET THEM PRINTED MYSELF OR MADE INTO AN ALBUM. BUT CAN I PAY YOU TO DO THAT FOR ME?
Not a problem - if you do want to order prints and albums from me, let me know and I'm happy to create a custom package for you! Just note that the San Jose, California sales tax will be added to your total in such cases (see, I'm just trying to help you out here! and don't worry, it's not tax evasion because California only taxes on physical products).
EEK I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM! WHEN WILL I GET THEM SO I CAN SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
I know, I'm just as excited to see them!! As soon as a session is over, I absolutely can't wait to download them and start editing - my husband knows this very well because he always sees me pulling out my laptop on the drive home. So you'll often see sneak peeks quickly after, typically by the next day. For regular sessions, I guarantee delivery of your gallery within 2 weeks, so I don't typically send sneak peeks for other sessions since you'll get them all so soon anyway! Final wedding galleries are guaranteed to be delivered within 60 days.
